Two days after releasing 10.8.3 build 12D43 to developers, Apple is today pushing out 10.8.3 build 12D44 with no known issues. Such rapid releases could point to an imminent launch of the OS. Like the last pre-release build, Apple isn’t listing any significant changes and asking developers to focus on AirPlay, AirPort, Game Center, Graphics Drivers, and Safari. Head below for the full release notes:

Hell Has Frozen Over: Apple Now Selling Android Device Online - by aby benedict

Apple may be waging a thermonuclear war against Android in the courts, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t try to profit off of gadgets running Google’s competing operating system in their online store… even if the word ‘Android’ is nowhere on the item’s product page.
It’s more of an amusing blip than anything else, but apple is selling the Oakley Airwave Goggles through their online store for $599.95.
The Oakley Airwave Goggles are a cool piece of kit which give skiiers and other snow sports enthusiasts not just a solid piece of goggles for protection against the elements, but contain a tiny on-board computer that not only gives them a real-time, data driven heads-up-display (HUD) that shows you your speed, ski time, the altitude, and distance traveled, but also has integrated GPS satellite navigation capabilities, accelerometer-based jump analytics and Bluetooth connectivity to a corresponding iOS or Android app.
It certainly looks pretty rad:

The only problem is the Airwave’s tiny onboard computer is actually powered by Android.
Specifically, the Oakley Airwave Goggles use a pioneering HUD created by Recon Instruments that “is powered by a proprietary Android OS micro-computer” in order to create “fully customizable Android based HUDs.”

It’s more amusing than anything else. It’s not like the Oakley Airwave Goggles have “Powered by Android” branded on the box, and the Android element is completely invisible to the end user.
Still, as far as we know, this is the only Android device Apple is currently selling, and you’ve got to admit, it’s ironic to think of anyone walking out of an Apple Store having purchased an Android-powered device.

Does Apple not care, not realize, or are they hiding the Oakley’s shameful pedigree? Certainly there’s no mention of Android on the official product page. It could go either way, but our best guess: Apple doesn’t care if gadgets use Android as long as they aren’t competing with them. Unless Cupertino enters the extreme sports market, the Airwaves are safe.

10 Reasons Which Show The Fall Of Apple - by aby benedict

The heights where Apple is building its palace will never let you to think about its downfall ever, but this does not means that can never happen. As for last few weeks there are some news popping up from different sites that indicate the downfall of the fruit company. Few days back E-NET also informed about the company’s fall. But this time we are we are loaded with 10 reasons which show the fall of Apple. Til the time we won’t read them you won’t be believe, so read on to see the weaklings of the most successful tech company of the world.

The Decline Of Apple

1. Decreasing Quality Increasing Price

Previously Apple’s products were satisfying the amount being paid for them but now the case is not the same. As the recent release of the company, iPhone 5, the product has a sky touching price but there are a lot of complains being received about it such as the touch screen bug, purple haze and above all the most prominent one is theApple map issue. All these reasons make the customers think that now Apple is not providing that quality in its products, as the high expectations we have for them. Furthermore, the Apple device which was said to be a cheaper one, that is iPad mini, was also quite expensive when compared to its competitors. Decreasing quality with increasing price can be a major reason leading to the fall of Apple.

2. Internal Defects Of The Company

Apple used to be more organised previously with stronger agendas to present best to its customers, but now there seem to be some internal defects in the company and one of the biggest evidence was the Foxconn issue, a major supplier of electronic components to large US companies including Apple and Microsoft.

3. Magical Touch Of Steve Jobs Is Missing

Apple is still Apple but the company has lost its spark today, Steve Jobs, who was not only the co-founder of the company but also the sole leader. Without his single vision, the company seem to be a bit scattered with internal disagreements and power struggles. Not only the company but people are also missing the compelling speech of Jobs when he used to hold the stage.

4. Apple’s Limitation On The Product

The next thing that can contribute to this downfall is the fact that Apple always bound its customers, while other brands open a new world for their users. As Android and Microsoft allow their customers to use almost all the apps such as Excel that Apple doesn’t. Apple only allows its customers to those features which are under the company’s control, which was seen when Apple replaced Google’s map with Apple’s poor quality map.

5. Other Brands With Same Products But Lower Price

Increasing competition is another threat for the fruit company that might lead to the fall of Apple, as yesterday Maypalo updated you about Samsung’s victory upon Apple. Moreover, the features that iPad mini is providing are also available in Nexus 7 of Google but in lower price. Thus the improvement of other brands is also a disadvantage for Apple.

6. Apple’s Carrier Partners Have Better Alternatives

Now the sixth one in the list of 10 reasons which show the fall of Apple is an important one. As other brands especially Samsung’s products are acquiring more success, so the carrier partners are also  more interested in them than Apple. Because for them better alternative means more profit.

7. New Initiatives Not Interested With Apple

Apple’s potential buisness partners don’t really trust the fruit company and this is major reason due to which new initiatives are not really interested to work with Apple. The music industry and AT&T have not had great experiences with Apple. If, in this way, all the Apple partners started to leave the company and new initiatives show no special interest, then the company will surely face a decline.

8. Product cannibalization

Apple’s rapid speed of releasing new products can also be disadvantageous for the company, as this leads to cannibalization. This means that due to the release of new products the older one suffers. This was vividly seen after the release of iPad mini that how rapidly the sales of iPad 3 went down.

9. Growth From All Aspects Is Not Advantageous

As per the analysts, its not always advantageous for the company to expand too much. Apple has also expanded a lot and presented its customers all technical goods from smart phone to TV. TV is complex due to relationships with cable companies, set-top box manufacturers and channel guide programmers. And if we talk about integrating more complex solution for TVs with content, cable companies and other media partners have learned not to trust Apple.

10. Valuation

If we mention Apple’s stock on P/E basis then it seems be quite cheap but is very expensive on price/sales (4.4x) and total absolute market capitalization basis ($625 billion). Even now Apple is suffering from a surprising yet swift decline in stock value. Just weeks after reaching a $705 high, it now sits at its lowest price in over five months. This can be another reason that lead to the fall of Apple.
This fall of Apple may not be very vivid, but the small weaknesses of the company can lead to this huge disaster to happen.
Will Apple face a downfall or not? What do think?

NASA working on X1 exoskeleton to aid astronauts, paraplegics - by aby benedict

Photo

NASA has announced that it's working on the X1, an exoskeleton that will give users improved mobility and strength. The project, which is the result of a partnership with the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, aims to help astronauts maintain muscle strength in low-gravity, low-resistance environments, but also hopes to assist paraplegics to walk. It's one of many exoskeletons we've seen over the years — France's Hercule project is already at an advanced stage — but with the heft of NASA behind it, the X1 looks as though it may have a good chance for success.
The project is an offshoot from NASA's Robonaut 2, a robotic astronaut which currently resides on the International Space Station. The X1 currently offers up four motorized joints at the hips and the knees alongside six passive joints that allow for movements like sidestepping, turning, and other actions that require high flexibility. In the future, the research team plans to add more joints to the ankles and hips to allow for a greater scope of movement. For now, however, there's a long way to go: NASA says that its primary focus is on design, evaluation, and improvement of the technology, and has given no date for when we might see the fruits of its labor in action.

iPhone 5 To Be Available In India Starting From October 26 - by aby benedict

iPhone 5 was launched on 21 October in some countries including the big ones such as United States and the United kingdom, and later it was released in 22 more countries. Well finally it is going to be launched to a country which has more than one billion people, that is India.

iPhone 5 Available In India

According to a new report today from BGR, Apple is going to launch its flagship device that is the iPhone 5 in India starting from October 26. It will finally put an end to those were waiting for the device to come to India and iPhone 5 will finally reach a one billion+ country.
iPhone 5 which according to the report will come on 26 October will mainly be launched in India by Apple itself rather than relying on local carriers such as Airtel or Aircel.
Unlike previous launches of the iPhone, it is expected that iPhone 5 will widely be available in major cities of India on the initial day of launch. But we should remind our readers that the launch date for iPhone 5 in India has not been confirmed by Apple, so we are waiting for a green signal by Apple.

iPhone 5 Price In India

iPhone 5 if it does get launched in India on October 26 will likely put a huge end to the black market that is currently selling the iPhone 5 at a huge mark-up price ranging from anywhere between $1100- $1700 (55,000 – 92,000 Indian rupee).
It is expected, although not confirmed, but the price of iphone 5 in India will be the same of that when iPhone 4S was launched. So we can estimate and say that the price of iPhone 5 in india will be around 45,000 – 52,000 Indian rupee.
Well if you are India, will you buy an iphone  5 when it comes out? Let us know in the comments.

Tim Cook apologizes to customers over Apple’s Maps controversy, recommends Bing and other alternatives - by aby benedict

Apple just published an open letter from Apple CEO Tim Cook explaining to customers that it “fell short” in delivering the best experience possible with the new Maps app. Within the letter, Cook noted the company is doing everything to improve the app. However, it recommended a number of alternative apps and web apps for users to try in the meantime. Among his recommendations: Bing, MapQuest, Waze, or the Google or Nokia web apps. Links in the letter point customers to the featured section for mapping apps on the App Store and another to the graphic above showing how to install the Google and Nokia web apps. The letter is currently posted through a link displayed prominently on the Apple.com homepage.

To our customers,
At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.
We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.
There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you.
While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.
Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.

Tim Cook
Apple’s CEO

First iPhone 5 Benchmark Test Reveals Dual Core 1.02GHz A6 CPU, Faster Than Galaxy S III, iPad 3, Nexus 7 - by aby benedict

After AnandTech’s analysis of Apple’s A6 chip, Geekbench has now posted first benchmark test of iPhones 5. The total score result, which shows iPhone 5,2 model sporting a Dual Core 1.02GHz processor, comes in at an impressive 1601, which is faster than a number of high-end devices of today including Apple’s own 3rd-generation iPad, Samsung Galaxy S III, Nexus 7, HTC One X, to name a few.
Last week at the special media event held at the Yerba Buena center in SF, Apple didn’t give any specifics on their A6 chip. It was only yesterday when after deep analysis, a third-party site made known of the 1GB RAM and 1GHz custom Apple-designed ARMv7 processor in iPhone 5. The technical specifications page on the official apple site doesn’t even mention CPU details. This is probably because Apple believes more in overall performance and UX for the end-users.

iPHone52

In comparison, last year’s iPhone 4S A5 has a score of 630 while this year’s A5X in iPad (3rd generation) has a score of 790. These scores validate Apple’s claim of A6’s performance and graphics being twice as fast as all of the previous iOS devices.

iOSdevicestest

What is more impressive is that according to this report, iPhone 5’s 1.02GHz processor is also faster than all of the top Android devices of today, including Galaxy S III’s Samsung Exynos 4412 1400 MHz (4 cores) which scores 1560, HTC One X’s NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30 1500 MHz (4 cores) which scores 1085, Nexus 7’s NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L 1300 MHz (4 cores) which scores at 1591 etc. Benchmark scores of other Android devices can be seen in the table below:

Of course once the iPhone 5 ships this coming Friday, we will see many more thoroughly benchmarked and examined tests of iPhone 5 against the competing devices. But until then, it seems like the A6 packs quite a punch. Thoughts?

7 Belly Fat Burning Foods to Lose Tummy Fat and Get Flat Abs - by aby benedict

Did you ever dreamed of having a great looking flat stomach? Well.. here are the 7 belly fat burning foods that you should include in your diet!

Food is the main source of energy for the body and what you eat may either burn fat or add to your fat reserves. There are certain types of foods which can actually assist the body in the fat burning process.

1. Eggs – This superfood is a top source of protein and a host of other goodies. Protein helps to build muscle tissue and boost metabolism and can also help to make you feel full for longer and so is a good appetites suppressant. Whole eggs are fine as the yolk has many nutrients you can use.

2. Oatmeal – Rich in fiber this often underrated food helps to keep you full, improve your digestive process, provides a source of good energy and helps you to maintain the necessary calorie deficit to lose weight.

3. Broccoli – This is a nutrient packed vegatable and actually helps to burn off belly fat because it contains phytonutrients. These are elements that help to fight xenoestrogens, chemicals which are common in our food supply that induce more abdominal fat storage. By eating broccoli, you reduce the effect of xenoestrogens on your body.

4. Almonds and nuts – These are sources of protein and lots of healthy fats. You need healthy fats to function properly and to lose belly fat, so these foods are an essential and excellent addition to your regular meals.

5. Low fat dairy – While these foods do not actually induce more fat burning (although they are rich in protein), research shows that a greater consumption of dairy helps your body to get rid of fat through its secretions. This can amount to a few pounds a year so it’s worth noting.

6. Garlic – While this food may not be the best food to eat before a big date, it is considered very healthy. Garlic contains allicin, an element with multiple health benefits which is also said to fight off fats in your body.

7. Tuna – Another rich source of protein and healthy fats for greater metabolism and more rapid fat burning.

Eat these belly fat burning foods regularly and you will see faster results. Of course this will not be effective as it is if you will just eat and sleep… For a greater result, you must also do regular exercise!

How Steve Jobs helped Barack Obama’s re-election campaign get more social and go viral - by aby benedict

Barack Obama’s current Campaign Manager Jim Messina revealed recently that Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs encouraged him to capitalize on technology in ways that are boosting the president’s re-election efforts.

According to Businessweek, Messina quit his gig as the White House deputy chief of staff in January to become Obama’s 2012 campaign manager. He immediately met with executives at Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, DreamWorks, and more to commence a forward thinking stand for office.
“I went around the country for literally a month of my life interviewing these companies and just talking about organizational growth, emerging technologies, marketing,” said Messina to Businessweek.

He further described two conversations that he had with Jobs while still acting as deputy chief. The Apple co-founder told Messina last year that mobile technology—coupled with social—had to be the primary focus in the re-election effort.

“Last time you were programming to only a couple of channels,” said Jobs, while referring to the Web and email. “This time, you have to program content to a much wider variety of channels—Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, YouTube, Google—because people are segmented in a very different way than they were four years ago.”

“He knew exactly where everything was going,” Messina explained from Obama’s campaign headquarters in Chicago. “He explained viral content and how our stuff could break out, how it had to be interesting and clean.”

It is interesting that Jobs would give Messina advice on how to go social and viral, especially because Apple’s own fledging social network Ping is getting the axe in the company’s next software release.

iOS 6 Unveiling Confirmed For Next Monday [IMAGES] - by aby benedict

If ever confirmation was needed that iOS 6 will be showcased at this year’s WWDC event – set to kick off on Monday – then one Instagram member has removed any lingering doubt. Brought to our attention by Zac Altman, member of the popular social image-sharing app recently acquired by Facebook, has upped a photo showing a new banner being readied over at the Moscone West convention center, confirming beyond dispute that the sixth iteration of Apple’s mobile operating system will be a huge significant talking point from Monday.

The tech world does a pretty stellar job of casting assumptions, and as such, has already forecast that Tim Cook’s company would unveil iOS 6, but the banner outside the event’s venue as good as sets it in stone. Hitherto, the predictably tight-lipped company hasn’t gone much farther than to state it would discuss "the future of iOS", but with just three days to go, the worst kept secret in Silicon Valley is well and truly out.
When it comes to Apple rumors, we really have to take whatever we can get, and as such, we suspect the silver theme of the banner is indicative of the hotly-rumored theme set to replace the blueness of many stock iOS apps. There is, of course, the possibility Apple is simply playing into the tech community’s hands, but that would seem a little elaborate given how little the colors scheme matters in the grand scale of features predicted.

Apple’s very own Maps effort is expected to debut as the talisman to a plethora of other new implementations including deep Facebook integration, Baidu Search to replace Google’s offering in China, and a Siri API, which will allow developers to finally intertwine their apps with Apple’s new-ish voice-recognition feature.
Speaking of Siri, the iPad is also set to see Siri implementation, and although many have dispelled Siri for iPad as an unnecessary, novelty feature, it’s nevertheless good to see Apple sharing the love beyond the exclusivity of the iPhone 4S.

Facebook’s iOS App Center going live tonight? - by aby benedict

Update: Facebook confirmed to TechCrunch it has been “testing it with a small percentage of users” since it launched last month, but the social network has “no further details to announce at this time.”
The image above is a screenshot just posted by TechCrunch. A reader who claims to be seeing the Facebook App Center already live in the iOS app sent it. As noted in the report, Facebook has an “app-themed” event in San Francisco tonight where we could see more of the App Center. The company announced the new HTML5-based App Center last month and said the iOS and Android Facebook apps would have access to the app marketplace in the coming weeks.

Samsung launches Galaxy SIII @ Rs 43,180 - by aby benedict

NEW DELHI: Samsung on Thursday launched Galaxy SIII, the company's flagship phone in India. The phone that is powered by the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich has an MRP of Rs 43,180. However market price is expected to be lower by a few thousands rupees.

It comes in two colours. The white model will be available immediately. According to the company the pebble Blue version has been delayed. It will come to the market in a few weeks time.

Samsung announced Galaxy SIII at a press event in London in early May. The phone has a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720P, 1GB RAM, 16/32GB storage with a slot for microSD card, 8MP camera with burst mode, zero shutter lag and backlit sensor, 2,100mAh battery, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. The phone weighs 133 grams and has a thickness of 8.6mm.

Galaxy S3 runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Android operating software. However, the default user interface of the OS is TouchWiz Nature UX, a custom skin prepared by Samsung.

Samsung, which started selling Galaxy range of phones in 2010, has emerged as the biggest Android phone maker. In fact, helped by the sale of Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2, the firm recently became the largest phone vendor in the world, ending Nokia's 14-years reign at the top. According to IDC, a market research firm, Samsung shipped 93.8 million phones in Q1, 2012 compared to 82.7 million phones shipped by Nokia.

In smartphone category, the firm ousted Apple from the top position. It shipped 42.2 million smartphones compared to Apple's 35.1 million iPhones. Apple, however, continues to be the world's biggest smartphone maker in terms of profit.

Hackers Already Working On Jailbreaking iOS 6 Even Before It’s Released - by aby benedict

We were simply bombarded with jailbreak news today, one after another and it seems we still have more to go! This time something really crazy and it’s about iOS 6 Yes folks about iOS 6 which hasn’t even been released yet and guess what folks, hackers are already working on jailbreaking it.

Chronic Dev Team has released Absinthe to untether jailbreak iOS devices on iOS 5.1.1. This was released atHack In The Box Security confrence  held in Amsterdam and boy did it take the whole jailbreaking community by storm. People flocked to jailbreak their devices thanks to Absinthe being free.
Well besides Absinthe being released at the conference there were some other interesting stuff, including musclenerd’s evolution of iPhone baseband & unlocks and as well as pod2g mentioning they are working oniOS 6 jailbreak. Yes folks iOS 6 jailbreak!

iOS 6 Jailbreak

In an interview to softpedia, pod2g (the main guy behind Absinthe v2.0) mentioned they have already “laid out plains for cracking the up coming iOS 6″.
It is expected that Apple will release iOS 6 this coming June in World Wide Developer Conference and what better way to start it with a jailbreak already ready for it.
As you are aware that Apple has not even released iOS 6 beta’s to developer, so how come pod2g and other hackers working on the jailbreaking iOS 6? Well here is what pod2g has to say:
“We will not give you the exact recipe, but we have other exploits that we won’t release at any time. This is our secret. It allows us to inject stuff into new devices and to start dumping the memory. When we have the dumps, we look at different ways of finding the vulnerability,”
What this means is basically that they already have exploits other then the one they are using for Absinthe and they are saving it for iOS 6.
So when iOS 6 gets released we will have a jailbreak, pretty awesome isn’t it? But remember folks we are not even sure if Apple will release iOS 6, and if they fix most of the exploits in the current firmwares we won’t a have jailbreak.
Lets not think to far ahead and enjoy the current untether jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1.

Facebook launches Facebook Camera for iPhone, complete with filters and batch photo uploading - by aby benedict

Just after its proposed $1 billion acquisition of mobile photo sharing service Instagram, Facebook has announced Facebook Camera for iPhone this afternoon in a blog post.  The app features filters just like Instagram and features the ability to upload a batch of photos at once, where as the regular Facebook app only allows you to upload one photo at a time. Upon first opening Camera, it detects any Facebook accounts already associated with the iPhone so you can begin uploading photos. Facebook Camera for iOS is now available on the iTunes App Store.
As you can tell from the screenshots of the app in the gallery below, it reminds us a lot of Instagram. There’s also the ability to view your friend’s photos in a single timeline. Complete with filters and quick sharing options, it’s almost like Facebook has launched a competitor to its own app.
Here’s the full breakdown of features:

  • Post multiple photos from your camera roll at a time
  • Crop and apply filters to give your photos a new look
  • Scroll down a single feed of all your friends’ photos
  • Tag your friends, add photo captions and say where you are
  • See photos from the different apps your friends use

Apple’s Current Project Is Its “Best” and “Most Important” Work, Says Jony Ive - by aby benedict

Jony Ive , or Sir Jony Ive as he is known in his native United Kingdom, is widely regarded as the man behind some of Apple’s most iconic designs. Once described by Steve Jobs as the man with the most power and influence within the fruit company besides himself, he is responsible for the look of everything from the MacBook air to the market-defining iPad.
Usually quiet – confined to his hideout within the Cupertino base, Ive is a rather mysterious fellow, which only adds to his aura of genius. Like most Apple employees, he isn’t one to speak about upcoming products, leaving the tech world to anxiously wait, trying desperately to ascertain what it has up its sleeve.
Ive
That said, Apple has been shaken up recently by the Trojan outbreaks on its self-proclaimed water-tight Macs, as well as the news that not only has Samsung overtaken it as the number one smartphone manufacturer, but the Chinese market – the largest in the world by a country mile – now seems to be favoring Microsoft’s up-and-coming Windows Phone ecosystem.
While the above may not directly be the cause of Ive’s broken silence, it’s a likely contributing factor, and Sir Jony has delivered the encouraging news to Apple enthusiasts anyway by stating that the company’s current project will not only be the most important of arguably the company’s history, but also the best.
Whether he’s referring to the next iPhone or a possible move toward the connected TV fray remains unknown, although his mentor Jobs was famously also rather giddy about the progress towards the television market, as per his biography by Walter Isaacson.
Ive, currently in his homeland to receive that knighthood from the Queen for "services to design and enterprise," took time out to speak with The Telegraph, and when pressed to name a design that he would be remembered for, he stated
What we’re working on now feels like the most important and the best work we’ve done, and so it would be what we’re working on right now, which of course I can’t tell you about.
Of course, it’s the kind of answer one would expect from Ive, but even so, it will certainly have chins wagging in the greater gadgetsphere, and although we would have loved for him to have slipped out of his comfort zone and revealed more, that’s just not the Apple way.
Speaking of the Apple way, Ive also hit back at critics who believe Tim Cook has brought a whole new ethos to the company, thus leading to the eventual decline of Apple as we know it. He said that the Cupertino outfit is developing its products "in exactly the same way that [it was] two years ago, five years ago, ten years ago."
He and the rest of his team get a buzz from seeing people using MacBooks, and iPads everywhere they go, and the dedication will not falter even without the great leader.

Report: Apple breaks records with production investments, but for what? - by aby benedict

A new report this morning detailed Apple’s investment in equipment and machinery during the most recent quarter as record-breaking, which indicates the company is certainly up to something.
According to Asymco, Apple’s financial reports hint at even more future investments. The Cupertino, Calif.-based Company spent $1.3 billion in the last quarter, with another $2.5 billion needed over the next two quarters.
“Such numbers are hard to grasp. They are unprecedented not only for Apple but for almost any comparable company,” explained Asymco’s Horace Dediu.
The graph above illustrates the increase in quarterly spending for “machinery, equipment, and internal-use software.” So, what does Apple have in the works that requires so much machine-powered investments?
The sixth-generation iPhone will have a 3.95-inch display at a 1,136-by-640-pixel resolution, and it will have a new dock connector. Of course, simply upgrading the iPhone does not explain Apple’s deep investment into production equipment.
however, that the company’s notebook and desktop lineup is expecting significant updates. Retina display improvements across Macs might explain the substantial spike in spending, but lets think outside of the box for this one.
Could there be any chance Apple is investing in the development of Liquid Metal tech for its devices, or is it aiming to control components used within its devices, or is it even—dare I say—gearing to produce the elusive “iTV“?
