There have been a lot of dead rumors about the 2011 iPhone to come with 3.7-inch screen or even a bigger 4-inch screen but Apple, at the end, stick with its normal 3.5-inch screen that was here since Apple’s first iPhone released in 2007. The real reason behind begin stick with 3.5-inch screen is that it’s much better to use.

In compare to Samsung’s Galaxy S II 4.21-inch screen, it’s found that the iPhone 4 is much more easier to be held.

Touching the upper right corner of the screen on the Galaxy S II using one hand, with its 4.27-inch screen, while you’re walking down the street looking at Google Maps, is extremely difficult and frustrating. I pulled out my iPhone 4 to do a quick test, and it turns out that when you hold the iPhone in your left hand and articulate your thumb, you can reach almost exactly to the other side of the screen. This means it’s easy to touch any area of the screen while holding the phone in one hand, with your thumb. It is almost impossible to do this on the Galaxy S II.

However, one the most important reasons that make some people change to the Samsung Galaxy S II is its bigger screen. It looks like Apple won’t be making a bigger screen (or may be just slightly bigger) since it considers the iPad as a two-handed device and the iPhone as a one- or two-handed device.

Apple drops iPhone prices: 8GB 3GS free, iPhone 4 now $99

No big surprises here, but the iPhone 4S' older siblings are getting drastic price reductions. An 8GB 3GSis now free on contract, while the iPhone 4 is now only $99 with a carrier agreement -- that one bill gets you an 8GB iPhone 4. We've received no indication of cuts for other flavors of the old guard, but we suppose congratulations are in order for bargain hunters with limited iTunes libraries.

Update: According to the Apple Store, the iPhone 4 is also "coming soon" to Sprint.

This week at the iPhone event in California, the iPhone 4S was revealed and a whole new set of prices were let loose for the whole iPhone series. In addition, it was revealed that the iPhone would now be carried by AT&T, Verizon AND Sprint. This is a first for the third carrier. Prices on these devices are surprisingly low considering past prices of iPhones, but given the fact that the smallest iPod Touch is now just $199, we suppose this is right in line: the 16GB iPhone 4S is also $199 USD on a 2-year contract with any of the three major carriers.
