Future Redsnow 0.9.11b1 Will Downgrade Firmware For iPhone 4S iPad 2/3 - by aby benedict

This is definitely great news for those iPhone 4S, iPad 2/3 users. Future redsnow update, version 0.9.11b1, will allow you to downgrade your firmware. Making your device on an untethered jailbreak status even more easy.

Musclenerd of the iPhone dev team tweeted about this new version of redsnow that will be released in the coming weeks giving you the ability to downgrade firmware of iphone 4S and iPad 2/3. The only catch is that you must have saved your SHSH blobs.
Upcoming redsn0w supports restoring, including iPad2/3 and 4S downgrades (with blobs) ..also stitches on the fly :)
So what’s so great about being able to downgrade to a lower firmware? Well first of all the main advantage is that you can downgrade to a firmware that has an untethered jailbreak such as iOS 5.0.1 Those iPhone 4S users who accidentally upgrade to iOS 5.1 or the newly released iOS 5.1.1 can downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 and be able to jailbreak their device (if you have saved SHSH blobs)
iPad 2 users can also downgrade to a lower firmware if you have saved those previous SHSH blobs but those users with the new iPad 3 won’t be able to downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 as it was shipped with iOS 5.1. Those iPad 3 users should not worry as the new firmware will be jailbroken soon.
Currently there is no official word on the release date for redsnow 0.9.11b1 but we can expect the release in a week or so.
Stay tuned to apple tech news as we will be bringing you more news on this.
